SolMan LMDB/SLD issue with virtual host name for HANA
So we have this odd issue in our landscape. But before I go there, a bit about our setup.
Our HANA systems are installed using the physical host name. The ERP system connects to the HANA DB using a virtual host name (for the purpose of HA). Therefore, in SLD/LMDB of Solution Manager, the ERP system shows up as "<SID> on <virtual HANA host>". The problem comes up when we setup the managed systems configuration.
The HANA db shows up in LMDB as "<HANA SID> on <physical host>" and has the technical instance associated with it. The ERP instance, on the other hand, has "<HANA SID> on <virtual host>" as the DB system.
When we do the managed system configuration for the the ERP system and try to auto-create the product system for the HANA DB, it comes up with an error: "Technical system has no installed product instances".
Is there anyway to bridge this gap, i.e. indicate to LMDB that the HANA instance on the virtual host is the same as the instance on the physical host?

SM 7.2 CHARM: No IBase component has been assigned to the document
Hello.
I configure CHARM in SM 7.2 SP2.
I received such error message:
No IBase component has been assigned to the document.
SMCR of SM 7.1 has PPF SMCR_ASSIGN_SOLMAN_IBASE.
I created PPF ZMCR_ASSIGN_SOLMAN_IBASE. But this PPF isn't valid.
How to solve this problem?

How to test and consuming ICT_SERVICE_DESK_API Web Service from 3rd Party Non SAP Tool
Is it possible to consume the Solman webservice (ICT_SERVICE_DESK_API) - from a third party NON-SAP tool ?
E.g through SOAP UI, I'm able to connect into the webservice and the RequestSystemGuid operation is working fine, but any other operation do not work at all.
Always give me the message 'Error 13'.

Solution Manager 7.2 on HANA using DMO
Hello Members,
We are planning to migrate Solution Manager 7.2 on HANA using DMO on cloud platform. ( SolManONHANA)
Let us know if anyone had similar experience, we are planning to drop Java after splitting.
Moving from SolMan 7.1 to SolMan 7.2 - technical

Target : Solman 7.2 (abap only) on HANA using DMO
I know lots of customers showing concern on HANA licensing cost part, Note, SAP HANA can be placed under SAP Solution Manager 7.2 withoutthe need for a SAP HANA license

I agree. I have installed a fresh new Solution Manager 7.1 from SAP media, patched it to SP14 with patch DVD and xml file that came with download basket. Now I´m running SOLMAN_SETUP....
Webdynpro called by SOLMAN_SETUP is very slow, and for my surprise, machine is not pushed at all. CPU remains low and I´ve got half physical memory free at my server. It is a x86 running windows 2012 with 24 Gb ram and a cpu with 4 cores.
Running sgen now to see if it gets better.

As we are getting the dump error as CALL_FUNCTION_NOT_FOUND
Please give a solution as how to correct it?, As we are getting daily..

What happened?
The function module "/SSF/CALL_SUBROUTINE_RFC" is called,
but cannot be found in the library.
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPMSSY1" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
The program "SAPMSSY1" contains the CALL FUNCTION statement.
The name of the function module to be called is "/SSF/CALL_SUBROUTINE_RFC".
No function module exists with the name "/SSF/CALL_SUBROUTINE_RFC".
All function modules are listed in the Function Library (SE37).
Possible reasons:
a) Wrong name specified. Pay particular attention to
upper/lower case and underscores ("_").
or
b) Transport error
c) In the case of an enqueue/dequeue module,
the lock object may not have been activated
(ABAP/4 Dictionary).
How to correct the error
Check the last transports to the SAP System.
Is the program "SAPMSSY1" currently being changed?
If an enqueue/dequeue module is involved, is the activation
of the lock object missing in the ABAP/4 Dictionary?
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
keywords:

Cause
- Function module "/SSF/CALL_SUBROUTINE_RFC" belongs to package "/SSF/" which is part of ST-A/PI component
- ST-A/PI is missing on managed system
- For instance, ST-A/PI may be missing following an upgrade of the managed system

Issue in Status change based on approval result
Hello All,
I am trying to do a modification in existing Charm Request for Change.
In the existing configuration of "Request for change", There was a approval procedure configured with a single step (Approval for BO). Now i have added another step in the existing approval procedure (Approval for QMS). When i try to approve both the steps the status change is working fine.
When i reject (Via Activity in Approval Block) the 1st step (Approval for BO), the status of the CD needs to be moved back to "Created". But this is not happening and status remains the same.
When i reject (Via Activity in Approval Block) the 2nd step (Approval for QMS), the status of the CD needs to be moved back to "Created" and this is working fine.
I can understand the reason why it is working for the 2nd step is, the configuration is done under SPRO -> SAP Solution Manager -> Capabilities ->Change Request Management ->Change Request Management Framework -> Define status change depending on approval result.
But in that, i can see the option is available as selecting the "Transaction Type" and selecting the option for status change based on approval or rejection. But i couldnt see anything based on Step Ids (what is the status change when Step1 got approved or rejected, What is the status change when step2 approved or rejected).
Please let me know how the status can be changed based on the step ids approval or rejection. Or any other way to solve this issue.

SAP Landscape Transformation

We are working on on SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation) to replicate Master data (i.e. Material and Customer Master Data) from one ECC instance to other ECC systems.
If you have worked on similar requirement of data replication using SLT , please let me know.
Also it will be helpful if you provide pointers on SLT configuration required for data replication. I need a step by step approach and configurations required in SLT to replicate one master data table contents from one system to other ECC system. Thanks.

Hi Sergey,
I have already checked the Status profile and no status is define their as a "In-Process Printed" and checked the highest and lowest status against the "In-Process" status.
Also checked from authorization and found nothing.
We are using the ITSM from last 3 months and this status is showing against the 2 incident only and we are unable to edit them.
I have no idea why those 2 incident showing this "In-Process printed" status.
Kindly help me how to edit that incident or close them.
