Dear Rakesh,

 

Follow the below steps

 

- Check whether your Enterprise manager is running or not with EMctrl script, if not they start your Enterprise manager.

 

- If your  Enterprise manager is running, then retry to assign the diagnostic agent once again.

 

Also follow the steps suggested by Ruth Reilly

Solution Manager 7.2 Support Hub Connectivity Errors

Hello,

 

I am trying to configure System Preperation for Solution Manager 7.2 SP01 and getting below error on Support Hub Connectivity.

 

I created a TECH-USER and activated it. When I run "Configure Consumer Proxies and Log. Port" step system gives below error.

 

Web service ping failed for logical port LP_SISE_SUPPORTHUB, proxy CO_SISEHUB_MI_O_AS_PUT_EXTERNA

Web service ping failed for logical port LP_SISE_SUPPORTHUB, proxy CO_SISEHUB_MI_O_S_SHB_LIST

Web service ping failed for logical port LP_SISE_SUPPORTHUB, proxy CO_SISEHUB_MI_O_S_SHB_GET_EX

 

What could be the reason of the error.

 

Can you help about the issue, please?

Hi Elena

 

As far as I know, to enable the requirement, you may need to use multiple solution.

And control user access using solution authorization D_SOL_VSBL.

 

 

Solution A is for region or plant xxx (monitor ABC)

Solution B is for region or plant yyy (monitor XYZ)

 

User who has access solution B cannot see alert from solution A monitor ABC.

User who has access solution A cannot see alert from Solution B monitor XYZ.

 

If the requirement requires many segmentation, this idea is not realistic.

But if it is few segmentation, this maybe 1 of the possible solution.

Hi Keiji,

 

Unfortunately the default queries don't have any filters on, and as such, even if the user only has authorization for a certain solution, alert data from other solutions are also visible before setting any filters. If one wants to add a filter to the query, only the solution that the user have authorization to can be chosen.

Hi there,

 

SUM doesn't have the installation concept. The SAR file content just need to be extracted to a folder anywhere outside the SAP product installation folder, and then run the startup batch file.

 

What product are you trying to update/upgrade?

Issue got resolved ,i was trying to run the program RLMDB_SAP_CR_REPAIR_LMDB  with created namespace sld\temp and i changed it to default (sld\active) and updated CR content .and reconfigured the SLD and ran the program RLMDB_SAP_CR_REPAIR_LMDB in background ...took a while ..but bingo ,after finishing the batch job i could able to activate Synchronization Connections between SLD and LMDB.

Hello Steven,

 

SUM --- Name itself indicates Software Update Manager... is used for upgrades.
For installations you can you SWPM--- Software Provisioning Manager.

 

Download the software and use SAPCAR for uncaring the software.

The first screen in the Wiki says you have to use SOLMAN_SETUP , and SOLMAN_SETUP itself has a guided procedure which explains every step. The Wiki offers you a demo for SOLMAN_SETUP as well:

After the general configuration has been done, there are several separate guides for different features of the ITSM scenario. As they are optional, there are steps for each feature.  Each feature (Multilevel categorization, ERMS inbound email, etc) is presented in a step-by-step format.

 

From my point of view, it might be a little difficult to find at first, but there are plenty of step-by-step documents in the Wiki, and it should be possible to configure ITSM based on the documents in the Wiki.

Dear Steven,

 

You have to use SUM SP14 Patch <X> to update the support pack in Solution Manager 7.1.

SUM SP15 will be used for SAP Netweaver 7.5 system upgrade and patching.

 

We are still running SM 7.1, according to the PAM matrix it only support JVM 4.1, however SUM required java 6 to run.


SM 7.1 means SAP Solution Manager 7.1 right? SUM itself requires a JAVA JRE 8 pl 57 to launch the window of SUM. SM 7.1 will still required sapjvm 4.1 which will be used by the SM 7.1 system only.


Moreover , if you want to install the system SM 7.1 then you need a SWPM as SWPM is only used for installation and SUM will be used for upgrade and patching the SAP system.


You need to run the SUM tool where CI instance of your SM 7.1 is running.

Hello Martina,

 

I'm so sorry, but my system doesn't get any scheduling information from the SAP CPS. The problem is, that periodic jobs (e.g. every minute) will not be scheduled in the ABAP system periodically.

 

Can I use the Job monitoring feature with an external scheduler SAP CPS and the free license?

Email Trigger in Solution Manager

Hi Team,

 

I am struck with the below scenario.Kindly help.

 

We are using Solution Manager 7.1 for

1.Triggering email alerts when IRT and MPT exceeds a 70% and 100% of elapsed time.

2.Trigger an email to User when the status of the ticket is changed.

 

Kindly help me how to achieve this.

 

Actions completed.

1.I have completed the email trigger functionality for status change of the ticket (say from Customer action to Inprogress).But am able to trigger mail only when the status moves to In progress.I have followed the instructions as per the Blog.

Hi Team,

 

I have followed the step by step documentation for the configuration of the email based on the IRT and MPT timings.


I have done all the steps mentioned in the document.

Hello together,

the systemuser WF-Batch of our system sends empty e-mails as receipt if a new e-mail arrives in our solution manager.

Is there somewhere a checkbox that regulates the automatic reply performed by this user?

 

Can anyone help?
