What printer are you using in SolMan? And what device type is being used on that printer?

Hello,
Can anyone help me to clarify some things regarding Support Pack upgrades and authorizations please.
With each support pack, most of the time some authorization roles are updated. For example, from SP6 to SP7; the role SAP_SUPPDESK_PROCESS gained access to KNAR transaction type in objects CM_ORD_LP and CM_ORD_PR.
This update is obviously only done in the standard SAP role. But I already have my own ZSAP_SUPPDESK_PROCESS, in which I have added the authorization for my Z-transaction types, such as ZMIN and ZMPR.
Now I wonder how I can get the update for the KNAR transaction type in my Z-authorization role, in an automated way. In this case, it is not a lot of work to add KNAR manually, but this is not the only update.
I am aware that after a SP upgrade, you need to redo some steps in SOLMAN_SETUP. One of them is for ITSM, Step 2.5: create template users. This step had a yellow exclamation mark, meaning it needed an update.
It indicated that the SAP_SUPPDESK_PROCESS role needed an update:
However, executing this update has a serious drawback: this step actually OVERWRITES my ZSAP_SUPPDESK_PROCESS completely. Meaning that now it does give access to KNAR, but no longer to ZMIN and ZMPR…
I also read the Security Guide, which mentions that you need to use transaction SU25 after an upgrade. However, when I look at ZSAP_SUPPDESK_PROCESS in step 2C of SU25, it does not suggest to add KNAR like I expected it to.
I figured that SU25 does not compare SAP_SUPPDESK_PROCESS to ZSAP_SUPPDESK_PROCESS, but it just looks at the transactions in the Menu of ZSAP_SUPPDESK_PROCESS and checks the data from SU24 against it. And the adding of KNAR is nowhere in these data.
So, does anyone know what the correct procedure is to update Z-roles after a support pack upgrade? Or do all these updates need to be added manually to the Z-roles?
Kind regards,
Joyca
Hi Samaneh,
According to the help page, you just need to set the Test Ended flag for the status that should describe the test as finished. This way, the "ready to test" flag will be set in the next test.
The flag looks like this:
In case a user tries to edit a test case which does not have this flag, the following popup will appear:
You can set the "test ended" flag for a status in STWB_SET -> Status Definition:
kind regards,
Fabricius
It's only available for people who are to sign the document. They need auth object C_SIGN or C_SIGN_BGR
Hi Joyca,
Not sure.. but I think we have to do this manually using expert mode of profile generation.
OR, Let it copy the updated role in a new Z role like ZSAP_SUPPDESK_PROCESS2. Then you would be having both those roles on same user ID. The master record will have all required authorizations.

Hi,
Please try to export to powerpoint slide.
Then check and print.

Hi Pankaj,
I don't know if this will help, but please check the following:
- are you using different people for Developer, Tester and Change Manager, or do you fill in the same person (business partner) while you test? I have noticed that often mails are not being sent properly if the same person is entered multiple times. This is especially true if this is also the "current processor".
You can use the personalize button to add the "parties involved" assignment block to your ticket, to check if there is any overlap.
- the emails to the developer and tester need to be sent when you are in the urgent change. did you configure those email actions on action profile SMHF_ACTIONS (instead of on SMCR_ACTIONS)?
Kind regards,
Joyca
Did you updated the password in Basic configuration before performing the managed system setup ?
solman_setup >Basic configuration >2.3 set Up credentials

Hello SG,
First thing you need to check is the business requirement means which target version is required??
If you want to go to NW 730 then the note I suggested should be followed. upgrade to 701 then 730.
If you can go to some other release for your requirement then there might be one step upgrade also.
you can check the note 1326576 to determine the upgrade path.
Let me know if you need further help on this.

Gaurav
Dear Experts,
I am upgrading solution manager 7.1 to SP08 using SUM.I am facing following error during .
Severe error(s) occured in phase PREP_EXTENSION/EHP_INCLUSION!
Last error code set: Stack file is invalid: component 'ST-A/PI' (stack release 01P_700 < source release 01Q_700)<br/> <br/> If you put new packages in the download directory, use option 'init' to upload them
Please do needful.

Snehal Patel
Hi Snehal, From the log it seems some mismatch in ST-A/PI component - Can you please check if your ST-A/PI component was at the level which is required to patch using sum. i.e if before running SUM tool Please run RTCCTOOL report and check if it suggests any ST-A/PI compoennt to be patched first.
Hope it helps.
Regards, Amber S | CTS
Hi Sneha,
Check this: Note 1795851 - MOpz: stack xml copy report corrections
Also, check your current ST-A/PI release/level, map it with the error. Check recommendation in RTCCTOOL.
Regards,
Divyanshu
Hi, you have a newer Support Package than Specified by the XML, current versión is Q, XML ask for P, so you have to edit Your XML file and replace the entry with the level installed.
Kind Regards
Hi All,
Please verify what partner functions are defined to the transaction type by looking at the configuration 'Define Partner Determination Procedure'. In version 7.1, the Developer, Tester and IT Operator were changed from functions SDCD0001, SDCD0002 and SDCD0003 to SMCD0001, SMCD0002 and SMCD0003 respectively. Thus, if the new partner functions are defined to your Request for Change or Change Document transactions, then the email action has to use the new partner functions as well.
Kindest regards
Paul
Hi Snehal,
This is a problem due to old ST-A/PI tool.
Before starting the upgrade, run transaction ST13 tool RTCCTOOL.It will show RED mark on ST-A/PI Addon Supportpackage.
Follow the SAP note described on that screen and update your ST-A/PI version as mentioned there using transaction SPAM.
After ST-A/PI upgraded to version required, you have to perform Maintenance optimizer again and create a new stack file.Start the the upgrade with new stack file
Best regards, Praveen
Hi Rahul,
Note 1730676 (implemented on satellite system) solved it.

Hi,
Its Solman 7.1 sp08.
I did check RTCCTOOL on solman and its asking to apply latest patches of ST-A/PI and St-PI.
Currently they are on 01Q_700 patch 0( Patch 1 is available now) and 710_2010_1 patch7(Patch 8 is available).
So could this be the reason?
The customer is saying he didn't receive the EWA email for that particular system only and in system the rating is missing for that session whereas when click on display html report rating is yellow inside.ill try resetting BGs also.
Regards
Abhishek
While ideal for SolMan to be on the latest ST-PI & ST-A/PI SPs, remote systems don't have to be on the latest. I also had all EWs working on the patches you are currently on, PI/SolMan/ERP 6.05/BW 7.3/etc etc.
I think you are on the right track with the BGs not following through on some process; is it also safe to assume that your ST22/SM21 doesn't have an entry related to your issue?
